VPRO KNAW debate on knowledge economy

In between the broadcasts of the VPRO documentary entitled ‘Nederland buiten kennis’ on 7 November and the broadcast of the documentary entitled ‘Holland gets talent’, VPRO’s Tegenlicht and The Royal Netherlands Academy for Arts and Sciences (KNAW) have organised an event on how to attract, train and keep knowledge workers in the Netherlands. This will place take place on 10 November at 7 pm in Science Center NEMO in Amsterdam. A sneak preview of the documentary, made by Kees Brouwer, will be followed by a panel discussion. During the meeting entrepreneurs and scientists will discuss how the Netherlands can keep its position as a knowledge economy. KNAW President Robbert Dijkgraaf, Chairman of De Jonge Akademie Peter-Paul Verbeek, CFO of ASML Peter Wennink and director R&D FrieslandCampina Emmo Meijer will participate in the debate.
